The sliding contact line, also known as the sliding wire, is a set of power transmission devices that supply power to mobile equipment. The power supply sliding contact line device consists of three main components: the sheath, the conductor, and the current collector, as well as some auxiliary components.
1. Sheath: It is a semi-closed tubular component and the main part of the sliding contact line. Inside, 3-16 bare guide rails can be embedded as power supply conductors according to needs. The guide rails are insulated from each other to ensure the safety of power supply. During live maintenance, it effectively prevents electric shock accidents for maintenance personnel. Each conduit produced by our factory is 4 meters in length and can be connected to any required length. Ordinary conduits are made in straight shapes, but can also be made into arc shapes or other special shapes as required.
2. Conductor: The main material is copper. According to the cross-sectional area, the common specifications are 10 square millimeters, 16 square millimeters, and 25 square millimeters.
3. The current collector is a set of carbon brush housings that run inside the conduit. It is driven by a fork (or traction chain, etc.) installed on the power-consuming mechanism (such as cranes, trolleys, electric hoists, etc.), allowing it to move synchronously with the mechanism. It transmits electrical energy from the guide rails and brushes to the motor or other control elements. The number of poles of the current collector brushes ranges from 3 to 16, corresponding to the number of guide rail poles in the conduit.
