When the machine is running at maximum capacity, if the width of the drag chain exceeds 300mm and the length exceeds 4m, for stability reasons, consideration should be given to selecting a larger size drag chain. The bending radius should be selected based on the maximum diameter of the cable and should reach 10 times the cable diameter. The bending radius can be selected from 100-600mm according to the provided table; for smaller travel distances, a correspondingly smaller radius can be chosen.
The length of the drag chain = 1/2 travel + 4 bending radii, which only applies when the fixed connection is at the midpoint of the travel. The fixation of the drag chain can be chosen based on the machine's position. The fixed angle steel can be placed on the outer or inner circumference, inside or outside the drag chain.
