Their main function is to provide power supply to mobile equipment such as cranes, electric hoists, and lifting equipment. The material of crane sliding contact lines is mostly composed of insulating engineering plastics and copper or aluminum materials. The combination of materials is determined by the power of the mobile equipment. Crane sliding contact lines are an important part of mobile power supply. Their quality and correct usage habits directly affect the work efficiency and safety of mobile equipment. When purchasing crane sliding contact lines, we must first confirm whether the manufacturer is a legitimate and qualified production enterprise with complete procedures, whether they have a production license, and whether they have passed the acceptance and inspection of relevant national departments. Secondly, we need to clarify the required model of sliding contact line, which depends on factors such as the current, power, moving distance, and environment of the mobile equipment. We can combine the manufacturer's recommendations to choose the appropriate one, avoiding unnecessary losses. During the use of sliding contact lines, it is essential to take measures for anti-corrosion and moisture-proofing of accessories, regularly check whether the outer shell of the sliding contact line is damaged, twisted, or deformed, and whether the fixed brackets and connector nuts are loose. If the total length of the crane sliding contact line exceeds 100 meters, consider adding expansion sections. Check whether the current collector of the crane sliding contact line can fully contact the conductor and move smoothly along the line. Regularly check whether the carbon brush of the current collector is severely worn; if the worn area exceeds two-thirds, replace it with a new carbon brush. If there are multiple mobile devices on one line, during the use of the crane sliding contact line, try to start with the device with lower power and current, run for two minutes, then gradually start other devices, and so on, until all devices are started. After all devices are started, begin moving the devices at low speed, and have staff observe the entire line to see if movement is smooth and if there is any possible friction with brackets or other equipment, so as to identify and solve problems as early as possible.
