Introduction to Crane Sliding Contact Line - Yangzhou DARUI

DARUI Electric recommends

Crane sliding contact line, also known as sliding contact line or safety sliding contact line, is used to supply power to moving equipment. It consists of two parts: the sliding rail (fixed part, connected to the power source, usually made of rails of 4.5m or 6m per piece connected together) and the current collector (sliding part, which can slide on or inside the rail and contact the copper strip to collect electricity, used to connect with the moving motor).

Commonly used types include safety sliding contact lines (tubular, enclosed), busbar sliding contact lines, rigid sliding contact lines, and single-pole sliding contact lines, etc. They have significant improvements in protection level and insulation, making them safe and reliable.

Safety sliding contact line - used in dusty, humid environments, can be equipped with dust-proof sealing strips and hand protection (when the sliding contact line is very close to people, hand protection is required, such as AKAPP). The running speed of the current collector is less than 300 meters per minute.

QYG multi-pole sliding contact line - easy to install, fast speed, simple and compact structure, safe and reliable, easy to maintain.

QYT rigid sliding contact line - used for high-current equipment, with current up to several thousand amperes. Widely used in environments with high temperature, high humidity, high voltage, strong corrosion, and heavy dust.

QYH single-pole sliding contact line - can be combined according to different numbers of poles, and the current can also reach thousands of amperes.

The quality of the sliding contact line can be measured by the following standards:

    1. Carbon brush service life - it is a consumable item, and the travel distance affects the equipment maintenance cycle.

    2. Quality of the sliding contact line housing - applicable temperature, environment, etc.

    3. Performance of the current collector - mainly based on the service life of the wheels, the design of the turning wheels, and whether the current collector can be used in various environments.

    4. Expansion issue of the sliding contact line - expansion must be considered when the length exceeds 100 meters.

    5. Voltage drop issue - the voltage drop varies according to the length of different copper strips.
