How to Install Sliding Contact Line

Sliding contact line installation methods vary depending on the type of sliding contact line, and there are multiple forms. This article briefly introduces the installation method of single-pole safety sliding contact line.
Single-pole sliding contact line installation often adopts three-phase three-wire or three-phase four-wire system. Currently, the national quality inspection department, to ensure enterprise safety, mandates the three-wire four-wire system installation, adding a neutral wire on the basis of three wires, which also raises the level of safety.
The most commonly used installation method for single-pole safety sliding contact line is the pressure plate type installation, which fixes the angle steel bracket of the sliding contact line at a certain distance under the pressure plate of the crane rail. This not only comprehensively utilizes the crane rail pressure plate but also avoids the extra consumables brought by other installation forms. This installation method is reliable and also the most feasible.
The second installation form is to weld the angle steel bracket of the sliding contact line onto the crane rail. However, this form is only adopted when there is no other choice, mainly because if the angle steel bracket is welded onto the rail, when the rail is removed later, it will leave many welding marks, reducing the comprehensive utilization rate. This method is not recommended.
The third method is side-mounted installation, which fixes the specific angle steel bracket to the columns of the crane rail through bolts or welding. This installation method has requirements for the single length of the sliding line, generally requiring a single length of 6 meters per piece. The angle steel bracket needs to be specially customized according to the actual conditions of the workshop.
Sliding contact line no matter which installation form is adopted, the most fundamental principles are: high comprehensive utilization rate of materials; simple installation and maintenance; safe use; considering these principles, choose an installation method that suits your workshop, and then it can be implemented.
