Features of Sliding Contact Line
Darui Electric recommends
Sliding contact line features
1. No arcing phenomenon, good contact performance. No power interruption faults, reliable operation.
2. Suitable for harsh environments such as high temperature, high humidity, high voltage, strong corrosion, and heavy dust. Can withstand large short-circuit impact currents,
3. High mechanical strength, good rigidity, not easy to bend or deform. No failures. Can greatly reduce the self-loss of electrical energy in the conductor.
4. Uses copper conductors or copper-aluminum profiles with lower resistivity.
5. Copper conductors have large current-carrying capacity. Maximum can reach above 3000A.
6. After adding auxiliary cables, the impedance of the conductor can be reduced multiple times, forming low-impedance sliding conductors, with wider applications.
7. Wiring can be diversified. Sliding contact can be from the top, bottom, or side.
8. Low temperature rise, large heat dissipation area of the sliding conductor. Long service life.
9. Simple structure and easy installation.
10. Maintenance and replacement are convenient and fast. Saves time and effort.
Sliding contact line principle
The sliding contact line has various structural forms, but the general principle is as follows: movingequipmentneeds to change positions frequently due to movement. At each different position, the movingequipmentmust be able to obtain power supply at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. At this time, the sliding contact line came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the running track of the moving equipment and connected to the power supply. On the moving equipment, a current collector is installed that can take electricity from the conductors. In this way, when the equipment moves, the current collector moves synchronously with the equipment and continuously obtains power from the conductors to supply the equipment, allowing it to continue moving. The device composed of these conductors and current collectors is called a sliding contact line.
