HGRX-C-60-T Copper C-type Flexible Busbar
DARUI Electric recommends
Moving equipment needs to constantly change positions due to movement. At each different position, the moving equipment must be able to obtain power supply at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. This is when the busbar came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the moving equipment's travel track and connected to the power supply. On the moving equipment, a current collector is installed that can draw power from the conductors. Thus, when the equipment moves, the current collector moves synchronously with the equipment and continuously obtains power from the conductors to supply the equipment, allowing it to continue moving. The device composed of these conductors and current collectors is called a busbar.
The power supply busbar device consists of three main components: the sheath, conductors, and current collectors, along with some auxiliary components.
1. Sheath: It is a semi-enclosed tubular component and the main part of the busbar. Its interior can be embedded with 3-16 bare guide rails as power supply conductors as needed. The guide rails are insulated from each other to ensure safety of power supply and effectively prevent electric shock accidents during live maintenance. Each length of the conduit produced by the manufacturer varies and can be connected to any required length. Ordinary conduits are made in straight shapes, but can also be made into arc shapes according to special requirements.
2. Conductors: The main material is copper. Common cross-sectional areas are 10 square millimeters, 16 square millimeters, and 25 square millimeters.
3. Current collector: It is a set of brush shells running inside the conduit, driven by a fork (or traction chain, etc.) installed on the power-consuming mechanism (such as cranes, trolleys, electric hoists, etc.), so that it moves synchronously with the power-consuming mechanism and transmits the electrical energy from the guide rails and brushes to the motor or other control elements. The number of poles of the current collector brushes ranges from 3 to 16, corresponding to the number of guide rail poles in the conduit.
(2) Product Features
1. Safety: The power supply busbar shell is made of engineering plastic with high insulation performance. The shell protection level can reach IP13 and IP55 as needed, protecting against rain, snow, ice attacks, and contact with hanging objects. The product withstands various environmental conditions. It has good insulation performance and poses no harm to maintenance personnel touching the outside of the power transmission conduit.
2. Reliability: The power transmission guide rails have excellent conductivity, fast heat dissipation, high current density, low impedance, and low line loss. The brushes are made of metal graphite material with high conductivity and high wear resistance. The current collector moves flexibly with good directional performance, effectively controlling contact arcs and series arcing.
3. Economy: The power supply busbar device has a simple structure, using copper bars with high current density, low resistivity, and low voltage loss as the main conductive body. It can save about 6% of electricity, achieving plastic instead of steel and copper, with novel design, no additional insulation structure, no compensation wires needed. It is installed on the same side as the crane control room, saving installation materials and costs. Its overall cost is roughly the same as bare steel busbars.
4. Convenience: The power supply busbar device integrates multiple levels of busbars into one conduit, making assembly simple. Its fixing brackets, connecting clamps, and suspension devices are supplied as universal parts, making installation, disassembly, adjustment, and maintenance very convenient.
(3) Applications: Finished busbar
The power supply busbar device can be used for electric hoists, electric beam cranes, and electric single-girder bridge cranes; stackers, automatic inspection lines for electromechanical products, automated production lines, mobile power tools, and other mobile power-receiving equipment, as well as fixed busway installations in factories, mines, workshops, and office areas.
Currently, single-pole H safety busbars are widely used, with significant improvements in protection level and insulation, ensuring safety and reliability.
Safety busbar -- used in dusty, humid environments, can be equipped with dust-proof sealing strips and hand protection (when the busbar is very close to people, hand protection is required, such as akapp). The current collector speed is less than 300 meters per minute.
Multi-pole busbar -- easy installation, fast speed, simple and compact structure, safe and reliable, suitable for currents below 100A commonly used.
Rigid busbar -- used for high-current equipment, with currents up to several thousand amperes, suitable for harsh environments and high temperatures.
Single-pole busbar -- combined according to different numbers of poles, with currents up to a thousand amperes, it is currently the most commonly used busbar.
The quality of the busbar can be measured according to the following standards:
1. Carbon brush service life -- it is a consumable item, and the travel distance affects the equipment maintenance cycle.
2. Busbar shell quality -- thickness, hardness, applicable temperature, environment, etc.
3. Current collector performance -- mainly evaluated by wheel service life, turning wheel design, and whether the current collector can be used in various environments.
4. Busbar expansion issue -- expansion must be considered when the length exceeds 100 meters.
5. Voltage drop issue -- the voltage drop varies depending on the length of the copper bars.
