Darui Electric recommends
The technical difficulty in the design and selection of cable reels is to ensure the synchronization between the winding speed and the equipment moving speed, while also ensuring that the tension on the cable during winding is moderate. Therefore, the following factors should be comprehensively considered in the design and selection of cable reels:
1.Cable specifications and types
The cable cross-sectional area ranges from 1.0 to 240mm2. The outer diameter of the cable directly affects the axial dimensions and power requirements of the reel. When the cable cross-section exceeds 35 mm2, non-electric reels (counterweight type can be relaxed to 50mm2) should not be selected. Flat cables can only be used with axially single-row reels. The cable should be of YCW type (power cable) and CEFR type (control signal cable), which are relatively flexible and have certain tensile strength. The outer diameter and unit weight of the cable should be as accurate as possible.
2. Winding length
It affects the radial dimensions and power requirements of the reel. The longer the length, the higher the power requirement. Non-electric cable reels are difficult to achieve long-stroke winding. The ground power anchor position also directly affects the selection of cable reels. Common power anchor positions include end power supply and midpoint power supply. Midpoint power supply cannot use non-electric magnetic coupling type (JQC series).
3、Equipment moving speed
It affects the motor power and transmission ratio of electric cable reels. When the equipment moving speed exceeds 60 meters per minute, variable frequency control type (BP series) should be selected.
4、 Installation height
It affects the motor power of electric cable reels. The higher the installation height, the greater the power requirement. During installation, it must not exceed the design requirements.
【Summary】The four parameters of cable specifications and types, winding length, equipment moving speed, and installation height are the basis for the design and selection of cable reels. They should be comprehensively considered. At the same time, the structure and layout of the cable reel should also be considered to meet the actual working conditions.
ST Cable Reel
The cable reel is a mechanical device that uses a spiral spring as power and automatically winds the cable by utilizing the energy storage of the spring. It has the characteristics of simple power supply, safe and reliable operation, and moderate cable tension. There are three structures: built-in slip ring, external slip ring, and cantilever type. Among them, the built-in slip ring type has a compact structure and beautiful appearance; the external slip ring type is easy to maintain; the cantilever type is suitable for winding longer and heavier cables.
