Compact buswaystructural characteristics
Darui Electric recommends for you
1) Strong heat dissipation capability
In the compact busway, phases are tightly attached to each other and to the enclosure, so it can withstand large electrodynamic and thermal stresses. It can also quickly dissipate the heat generated by the conductive bars, allowing for a large current-carrying capacity.
The joints are fastened with insulated bolts and connected with double copper bars, effectively increasing the contact area of the joints and greatly reducing the temperature rise at the joints.
2) New generation environmentally friendly product
The conductive bars of the compact busway are wrapped with flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene heat-shrinkable tubing, which has strong insulation performance and does not emit toxic gases when exposed to fire.
3) Flexible wiring
The tap-off openings of the compact busway are flexible and convenient to set, allowing for a large number of tap-off points, and it has strong versatility. When adjusting the position of electrical equipment, there is no need to change the power supply system.
A closed busway (referred to as busway) is a busbar system composed of a metal plate (steel plate or aluminum plate) as the protective shell, conductive bars, insulating materials, and related accessories. It can be made into a plug-in type closed busway with tap-off junction boxes at intervals, or a feeder type closed busway without junction boxes in the middle. In the power supply system of high-rise buildings, power and lighting circuits are often set separately. The busway, as the main power supply trunk, is installed vertically along the wall in the electrical shaft, either one or multiple runs. According to the purpose, a busway run generally consists of a starting busway, straight-through busway (with or without tap-off holes), L-type vertical (horizontal) elbow busway, Z-type vertical (horizontal) offset busway, T-type vertical (horizontal) tee busway, X-type vertical (horizontal) cross busway, variable-capacity busway, expansion busway, terminal cap, terminal junction box, tap-off box, busway related accessories, and fastening devices. According to the insulation method, busways can be divided into three types: air-type plug-in busway, compact insulated plug-in busway, and high-strength plug-in busway.
High-strength closed busway.
Its manufacturing process is not limited by the plate material, and the shell is made in a corrugated form, which increases the mechanical strength of the busway. The horizontal section of the busway can be produced up to 13 meters long. Since the shell is made in a corrugated form, the grooves are intentionally used to separate and fix the busbars, with an 18mm gap between the busbars, allowing for good ventilation between the lines, significantly improving the moisture resistance and heat dissipation of the busway, making it more suitable for southern climates. Due to the gaps between the lines, the temperature rise of the conductors is reduced, thereby increasing the overload capacity and reducing magnetic oscillation noise. However, it generates much more stray current and inductance than the compact busway. Therefore, when comparing the same specifications, its conductive bar cross-section must be larger than that of the compact insulated plug-in busway.
The compact busway is suitable for AC three-phase four-wire and three-phase five-wire systems, with a frequency of 50~60Hz, rated voltage up to 690V, and rated working current of 250~5000A. It serves as auxiliary equipment for power supply and distribution systems in industrial, mining, enterprise, and high-rise building applications, especially suitable for workshops and the renovation of old enterprises.
