Silicone rubber flat cable is made by wrapping multiple strands of copper wire with insulating material, and then pressing it together with sheath material through a high-tech automated production line. It has strong flexibility, can be bent and folded at will, and features relatively thin thickness, small volume, simple connection, and easy disassembly. It also allows arbitrary selection of the number of conductors and spacing, making wiring convenient, reducing product volume, lowering production costs, and improving production efficiency. It is suitable for data transmission or power transmission in electrical equipment. It is widely used in high-temperature industries such as lighting, lifting and transportation, machinery, electrical, steel and metallurgy, medicine, ports, mining, physics, warehousing, aviation, as well as power plants and coking plants, petroleum and chemical industries. It is used as transmission lines, control and monitoring lines for electrical equipment, and as power connections and control, signal, and lighting for various mobile power devices.

  Theoretically, silicone rubber material has much better heat resistance in air than organic rubber, and its usage varies at different temperatures. For example, at 150°C, its physical and mechanical properties are basically unaffected, and this compensation wire can almost be used; at 200°C, it can be used continuously for more than 10,000 hours; but at 380°C, it can only be used for a short time. Based on the above, we can naturally understand why silicone rubber flat cables are widely used in high-temperature and other occasions.

  Next, let's talk about how to correctly store and transport this cable?

  1. When storing cables, it is strictly forbidden to contact with acids, alkalis, and mineral oils. They should be stored separately from these corrosive substances;

  2. The warehouse where cables are stored must not contain harmful gases that can damage insulation or corrode metals;

  3. Avoid storing cables in the open air in an exposed manner as much as possible. Cable reels should not be placed flat;

  4. During the storage period, cables should be rolled regularly (once every 3 months in summer, and can be postponed appropriately in other seasons). When rolling, turn the downward storage edge upward to prevent moisture and rot on the bottom. During storage, always check whether the cable end caps are intact;

  5. The storage period of cables is limited to the product's factory date, generally not exceeding one and a half years, and at most two years;

  6. During transportation, it is strictly forbidden to throw cables or cable reels from high places, especially at lower temperatures (generally around 5°C and below). Throwing or dropping silicone rubber flat cables may cause cracking of the insulation and sheath.
